Jessica Ellen Cornish, popularly known by the name of Jessie J, is a known English musician and singer. Jessie has gained notoriety early due to her unusual music style that mixes soul vocals and pop, hip-hop, and electropop. She has also earned several nominations and awards including the 'Critics' Choice Brit Awards' and 'BBC's Sound of 2011.' Her professional career started at the beginning of her 11th year when she was cast in 'Whistle Down the Wind,' a musical that was written by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. She was in 2002 when she was featured for the "National Youth Theater" production of "The late sleepers." Her debut album "Who You Are" was made available in February, 2011. She became famous that year. The album was a huge success from the beginning. Within the first week there were 105,000 copies sold in the UK and 34,000 across the US. The album debuted as second on the UK Albums Chart and number 11 on US Billboard 200.
