Allison Pregler Bio

Allison Pregler is a reviewer who takes on Z-grade movies generally in the martial arts or horror genre a roughly similar beat that of The Cinema Snob but tending towards action-oriented dumb films and an obsession with the genre. Her reviews started in the latter half of 2009, and when she began to gain some recognition (under the name of Obscurus Lupa, which was previously used) Allison Pregler was part of the family at Channel Awesome. The channel was online until 2015, when Obscurus Lupa Presents became Movie Nights. She also currently runs two podcasts on her channel, both of which cover the Charmed franchise, and they both co-host together with Phelous. After a controversial departure from Channel Awesome Allison officially announced on January 20th 2015 that she'd be revamping OLP into an impromptu review show called Movie Nights with an appropriately-shlocky elevator jazz theme. She began in late 2009 reviewing films, and began to gain a following on the Channel Awesome forums. She then became a part of the family of network movie critics. There have been numerous appearances throughout Channel Awesome, from Atop the Fourth Wall through Phelous & the Movies. She was a part in Channel Awesome's Channel Awesome Family alongside Doug Walker, and she would frequently appear on the episodes of The Nostalgia Critic.
