Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada (born in Afghanistan) is Azita Ghanizada is an Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in a number of television shows. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan. She and her family left for the US and were given asylum. She is the middle child of two sisters and was born on the outskirts of Northern Virginia. Ghanizada's on-air camera career being featured in several National Commercials. Ghanizada won the award for best actress in the 2004 film festival for her performance in the Laura Neri movie A Kiss on the Nose. In the film, she performed the role of Chiara. Her latest roles include the role of a supporting character in Blood Shot, (2009) which is based on the science fiction film Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada was featured in her role in the General Hospital spinoff General Hospital, which was broadcast on prime-time TV. Season 2 of Night Shift featured Ghanizada as the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra, a physician who is a specialist in holistic medicine. Ghanizada was a part of Kelly the Prada Sales Girl on HBO Entourage in 2009 and was also cast for the television pilot Tough Trade by Weeds creator Jenji Kohn.
