LeBron Raymone James Sr. is a American basketball professional, who plays with the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Nicknamed King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful basketball players ever and is often compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the best basketball player of all time. James has won two Olympic gold medals and won four NBA titles. James has scored the highest points in the playoffs and has the second most career points and has the seventh highest amount of career assists. James has 18 NBA All-Stars as well as 18 All-NBA teams and Five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. He has played in 10 NBA Finals. This is the third-most of all time. Eight were consecutive between the years 2011 and 2018. In 2021 James was picked to join make the NBA 75th Anniversary Team, and in 2022, he became the very first player in NBA history to rack up at least 10,000 career points rebounds and assists. James played basketball for St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in his home town of Akron Ohio and was heavily in the news media as a future NBA superstar. As a pro-prep player, he was picked by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall selection in the 2003 NBA draft. When he was named the 2004 NBA Rookie Of The Year, he rapidly established himself as a premier player in the NBA receiving the NBA's MVP Award 2009 and 2010 James, who was unable to achieve the Cleveland championship in 2010, left as an unrestricted free agent to join as a player with the Miami Heat.
